Fishing Plan

The Fishing Plan is one of FishingMate’s core features, designed to help anglers systematically and conveniently plan each fishing trip.

Below is an overview of its main features and workflow.

Features & Workflow

1. Create a Fishing Plan

  • Tap the Create button → select Fishing Plan

2. Select Fishing Date

  • Choose the exact date for your planned fishing trip

3. Enable / Disable Trip Reminder

  • Toggle whether to enable fishing time reminders
  • If enabled, you can further select a reminder time
  • The app will send a notification at the specified time

4. Select Target Fish Species

  • You can select up to 5 target species
  • For better recommendations, it is suggested to choose 2–3 species
  • Note: relevance between selected species and reference data is not guaranteed and is provided for reference only

5. Select Fishing Location

  • Choose a location manually on the map, or select from your saved markers

6. Weather & Tide Information

  • After creating a plan, the system automatically matches weather data for the selected date and location
  • If the target species includes saltwater fish, tide data will also be retrieved
  • Based on weather and tide conditions, the system may provide brief suggestions (e.g., optimal fishing time or precautions)

7. Target Species Behavior Overview

  • The system provides a brief introduction to the habits of the selected species for reference

8. Checklist (Beta)

  • Optionally generate a checklist based on the fishing plan (e.g., recommended gear)
  • This feature is in beta; generated content may not fully match actual needs and is for reference only

9. Save Fishing Plan

  • Once completed, save the plan for future review and execution

Notes

  • The Fishing Plan feature is designed to help anglers plan more effectively, but some information is for reference only and should be used alongside personal experience.
  • It is recommended to limit the number of target species for more accurate suggestions.
  • Weather and tide data are based on publicly available sources, and accuracy may vary depending on data providers.
