User Agreement

Introduction

FishingMate hereby reminds users (hereinafter referred to as "you") to carefully read this User Agreement (the "Agreement") before registering for an account, accessing, or using the services, so that you fully understand all terms and conditions contained herein. Please read this Agreement carefully and decide whether to accept it.

If you do not agree to all terms of this Agreement, you must not register for an account, access, or use the services provided by FishingMate. By registering for an account, accessing, or using the services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by this Agreement.

This Agreement defines the rights and obligations between FishingMate and users regarding software services (the “Service”). “User” refers to any individual who registers, logs in, or uses the Service. This Agreement may be updated by FishingMate at any time in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Once updated, the revised terms will replace the original terms and will be made available on this page. If you do not accept the revised terms, please stop using FishingMate immediately. Continued use of the Service will be deemed acceptance of the updated Agreement.

1. Account Registration

When using this Service, you may choose to register an account to access additional features. Under applicable laws and regulations in mainland China, account registration must be completed using a mobile phone number or a verified third-party account (such as WeChat). FishingMate may adjust available registration methods based on user needs or product requirements.

During registration and use of the Service, FishingMate may collect personal information that can identify your identity in order to contact you when necessary or provide a better user experience. Such information may include, but is not limited to, third-party login nickname and unique identifiers. The use of such information will be subject to our Privacy Policy.

2. Service / Paid Services

The Service includes features provided by FishingMate based on actual conditions, including but not limited to data management through user accounts. FishingMate may modify or update the Service at any time, and users will be notified of such changes.

The Service includes both free and paid features. Users may purchase paid services by paying a specified amount in local currency through the in-app payment methods, in accordance with published pricing standards, thereby obtaining access to such services. FishingMate will clearly indicate paid features before use. Only after the user confirms payment and completes the transaction can the user access such paid services. A payment is considered completed only when the bank or payment platform issues a “Payment Successful” confirmation.

3. Personal Information Protection

FishingMate respects user privacy as a fundamental principle and will take technical and organizational measures to ensure the security of personal information collected during service use, preventing leakage, loss, or damage.

In the event of such incidents, or if there is a risk thereof, FishingMate will take timely remedial actions and notify users. Users should also immediately contact official support if such issues are discovered.

FishingMate will not disclose or share personal information with third parties without user consent, except in the following cases:

• When required by law or government authorities;
• When disclosure is caused by the user sharing their account credentials with others;
• When the user voluntarily discloses personal information to third parties;
• When the user agrees to data sharing with partners for service provision;
• When disclosure is caused by hacking, viruses, device loss, or other force majeure events;
• When data is anonymized and no longer identifies individuals.

User information may be used for the following purposes:

• Sending important notifications (e.g., updates, policy changes);
• Internal auditing, data analysis, and service improvement;
• Account management and enforcement of this Agreement;
• Other lawful purposes under applicable regulations.

FishingMate may request non-sensitive device permissions to improve service experience, always under lawful, legitimate, and necessary principles.

4. Content Standards

Content refers to any information created, uploaded, copied, published, or transmitted by users, including profile information, text, images, links, and other content.

Users must not publish or transmit content prohibited by laws and regulations, including but not limited to:

• Violating fundamental constitutional principles;
• Endangering national security or unity;
• Damaging national honor or interests;
• Inciting ethnic discrimination or hatred;
• Spreading rumors or disrupting social order;
• Pornographic, violent, terrorist, or illegal content;
• Defamation or infringement of others’ rights;
• Other illegal or harmful content.

Users must not publish content that interferes with platform operation or infringes on others’ rights, including harassment, spam, privacy violations, and intellectual property infringement.

5. Usage Rules

Content published by users does not represent FishingMate’s views or policies, and FishingMate assumes no responsibility for such content.

Users must not engage in the following activities:

• Publishing false information or impersonating others;
• Forcing or misleading others to engage with content;
• Deceiving or misleading behavior;
• Creating fake accounts through automated means;
• Engaging in illegal activities;
• Distributing tools or methods for such activities;
• Any other unlawful or unauthorized behavior.

Users are fully responsible for their actions and content. Any resulting legal liability shall be borne by the user. If damages occur, users shall compensate FishingMate or third parties.

Without written permission, users must not:

• Remove copyright notices;
• Reverse engineer or decompile the software;
• Use or copy FishingMate intellectual property without authorization;
• Modify or interfere with system data or functionality;
• Use unauthorized plugins or third-party tools;
• Access the service through unofficial software.

6. Account Management

Account ownership belongs to FishingMate. Users only obtain usage rights, which are personal and non-transferable.

Users are responsible for safeguarding their account credentials. Any misuse or loss due to negligence is the user’s responsibility. Users must not use others’ accounts and should report unauthorized access immediately.

FishingMate reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts in case of violations and may reclaim accounts when necessary.

Account deletion is irreversible. Users must back up all data before proceeding. Deletion does not exempt prior liabilities. FishingMate may suspend deletion if legal disputes or investigations are ongoing.

7. Data Storage

FishingMate determines data retention periods and storage limits. Users are responsible for backing up their data.

Upon service termination, FishingMate may permanently delete user data and is not obligated to retain or restore it.

8. Risk Assumption

FishingMate only provides a platform for information sharing and does not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of content. Users assume all risks associated with use.

Users should verify information independently. FishingMate is not responsible for any loss or damage arising from reliance on the Service.

Users may report violations via email: hello@boring.cool.

FishingMate may modify, suspend, or terminate services due to business needs, and users accept this risk.

9. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, all content provided by FishingMate is owned by FishingMate, excluding user-owned content.

All software-related intellectual property belongs to FishingMate.

FishingMate trademarks, logos, and product names are protected and may not be used without permission.

10. Force Majeure and Disclaimer

FishingMate is not liable for service interruptions caused by force majeure events, including natural disasters, wars, or government actions.

Users may encounter security risks, viruses, or malicious content from third parties.

FishingMate does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service and is not responsible for losses caused by technical issues or external factors.

FishingMate may perform maintenance that causes temporary service interruptions.

FishingMate is not liable for damages arising from free or promotional services.

In all cases, FishingMate’s total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by the user (if any).

11. Service Changes, Suspension, and Termination

FishingMate may modify, suspend, or terminate services at any time. Users will be notified in advance where possible.

FishingMate may terminate services without liability in cases of:

• Legal or regulatory requirements;
• Security concerns;
• User violations.

12. Miscellaneous

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China.

Disputes shall be resolved through negotiation; if unsuccessful, they shall be submitted to the competent court in FishingMate’s place of jurisdiction.

If any provision is invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

Due to rapid internet development, this Agreement may not cover all rights and obligations. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of supplementary terms.
